While I was at Hearts of Oak, I decided to wash my jerseys – Sulley Muntari

Sulley Muntari, a former midfielder for the Black Stars, has talked candidly about the challenges he encountered while playing for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
The now 40-year-old talked about his experience with the league’s unfavorable conditions and how that may have influenced his choice to leave after the 2021–2022 season.
During his brief tenure at Inter Milan, the Champions League winner made 11 appearances and scored one goal.
But Muntari attacked the league’s standards, calling it a “huge hole” that was being filled with money but not making any progress.
He described how he took matters into his own hands due to the unfavorable circumstances, which included disrespect and foul-smelling changing rooms.
I do not let them wash anything, not even my clothing. “I always bring it home,” he said to 3 Sports.
Regarding Mubarak Wakaso’s decision to leave Hearts of Oak, Muntari also said, “Waka will not probably be able to contain them,” expressing that he understood Wakaso’s hesitation.
Notwithstanding his contributions, Muntari’s story sheds light on the difficulties Ghanaian league players encounter.
