The Ghana Premier League stalemate against Basake Holy Stars left Hearts of Oak assistant coach Nana Yaw Amankwah lamenting wasted opportunities.

Both teams failed to score despite creating multiple chances to do so, and the game, which took place at Crosby Awuah Memorial Park, finished in a thrilling goalless stalemate.

In their historic top-flight debut, Holy Stars stunned the Phobians with a close 1-0 victory in the first game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Though that did not happen, the Phobians were hoping to recover from the loss.

“During the game, we lost a lot of opportunities. We will fix our errors for the league’s next games,” he declared.

This weekend’s matchup against Heart of Lions at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in week 19 presents a formidable challenge for the Phobians.

Eighteen games into the season, Hearts of Oak have thirty points, good for fifth place in the Ghana Premier League standings.
