As Hearts of Oak continues their Ghana Premier League and FA Cup campaign, assistant coach Yaw Amankwah has underlined the need for the club to improve their finishing.

The Phobians are still hopeful about their prospects even though they are currently in sixth place in the league standings with 30 points from 18 games.

Amankwah emphasized the significance of turning those possibilities into goals while acknowledging the team’s ability to generate goal-scoring opportunities.

Their recent road 1-1 draw served as a sobering reminder of their inability to convert good opportunities into goals.

“We must go and put in a lot of effort to score goals so that we can win more convincingly at home. From there, we will begin working on it. We shall do better the next time,” he declared following their match versus Holy Stars.

“We participate in league play. It is a hard league. We are returning home to win our home game and prepare thoroughly.

In a contest that could be vital to their league hopes, Hearts of Oak will play Heart of Lions on January 31st.
