“We must double and triple our efforts to keep the first position.” – Prosper Ogum

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has asked his team to step up their efforts to keep their top rank in the Ghana Premier League.

With 34 points at the end of the first round of the 2024–2025 season, Kotoko was only one point ahead of the Bibiani Gold Stars, who came in second.

It takes more work to stay at the top than it does to get there, Dr. Ogum stressed. He asserted that “being on top and remaining there are two distinct things.”

“We must maintain our momentum in terms of our aggressiveness, passion, and dedication to play, as well as the intensity of our performance.”

Dr. Ogum urged his team to double or triple their efforts in all areas, including aggression, desire, and intensity, to hold their position. He also emphasized how crucial proper coaching is on the pitch.

As they start their second-round campaign on Sunday, February 2, Kotoko will face 14th-ranked Nsoatreman.
