Aboubakar Ouattara, the coach of Hearts of Oak, has blamed his team’s difficulties in their 3-2 victory over the Accra Lions on a lack of focus in the second half.
Hearts of Oak let up goals to Lucky Nwafor in the 52nd and Blessing Dankwa in the 73rd minute, respectively, despite gaining the lead in the 37th minute thanks to a brilliant header from Mohammed Hussein.
Following the half, Ouattara acknowledged that his team’s level of focus decreased. He claimed that after leaving the dressing room, “we lost concentration.” “The key thing is that we take the three points, even though I am not sure what happened.”
However, Mawuli Wayo, a replacement for Hearts of Oak, pulled his team back ahead and sealed the victory with a late brace in the 81st and 84th minutes.
Wayo and other players who came off the bench to alter the game had a significant impact, according to Ouattara. “The key thing is that Wayo and Karikari (Martin) came to turn the game and take the three points because we could not make it.”
