Wakaso’s refusal to play in the Ghana Premier League makes sense to me – Sulley Muntari

Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has discussed the difficulties of playing in the Ghana Premier League and explained Mubarak Wakaso’s decision to leave Hearts of Oak.
Sulley Muntari made 11 appearances and scored one goal during his brief stay at the club in the 2021–2022 season, capping off an incredible career.
Many supporters wanted Muntari to stay longer, but he declined, pointing to the league’s subpar standards.
According to the Inter Milan champion, the Ghana Premier League is a “huge hole” filled with money but not getting any better.
Sulley Muntari also exposed unfavorable circumstances, such as subpar locker rooms and a lack of decency, underscoring players’ difficulties in the league.
“I did not waste any money playing for Hearts of Oak, ” he told 3 Sports. I wanted to make it strong so my other guys could come gradually the following year.”
Since Waka (Wakaso) is unlikely to be able to control them, I will not hold it against him if he chooses not to play.
“Hey, the locker room smells awful if you go to play matches. There is no such respect. I do not even let them wash my clothing. I always bring it home with me.
