Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has laid out his plan to keep the team atop the Ghana Premier League.

With 34 points at the end of the first round of the 2024–2025 season, Kotoko was only one point ahead of the Bibiani Gold Stars, who came in second.

Dr. Ogum underlined the need to maintain the team’s momentum by pointing out the necessity of preserving desire, aggression, and intensity.

He asserted that “being on top and remaining there are two distinct things.” “We must maintain our momentum in terms of our aggressiveness, passion, and dedication to play, as well as the intensity of our performance.”

To keep ahead of the competition, Dr. Ogum emphasized that his team must double or triple their efforts in every aspect and continue to follow the proper instructions on the field.

He thinks Kotoko can hold onto their top rank and make a serious run for the league title with the correct attitude and work.

Kotoko’s seven-game winning streak, which included a 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Hearts of Oak, was the high point of their remarkable first-round run.

As the squad starts their second-round campaign on Sunday, February 2, they will face 14th-ranked Nsoatreman.
