Kwame Opoku

Prosper Ogum claims Kwame Opoku is naturally gifted.

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has commended striker Kwame Opoku for his smooth transition back into the team.

After returning to Kotoko, Opoku scored his first goal, assisting the Porcupine Warriors in defeating the Bibiani Gold Stars 2-0 at Baba Yara Stadium.

Ogum credited Opoku’s strong start to his innate skill and capacity for teamwork.

In a post-match interview, Dr. Ogum stated, “I am not shocked because in terms of natural potential, he has it already and he is been able to harness this natural talent to integrate himself into the team.” “I believe it is beneficial for us because he and I have a strong bond.”

Opoku scored his first goal against Bibiani Gold Stars since rejoining Kotoko following a two-year hiatus.

In 16 Ghana Premier League games during the 2020–21 season, he scored seven goals while playing for the team. Kotoko is now in second place in the league rankings following Opoku’s return.
