Pastor explains that acknowledging God is the essence of Christmas.

Believers need to keep in mind the real purpose of Christmas and not let the joys of the season divert them. On Christmas Day, December 25, Pastor Frank Karemera of New Life Bible Church in Gatenga, Kigali, posted a message encouraging Christians to concentrate on the main Christmas theme: the birth of Jesus Christ and His redemptive work.

On Wednesday, people from all walks of life in Rwanda commemorated Christmas Day, the most widely observed religious holiday and the day that marks the birth of Jesus Christ, primarily by going to church services.

According to religious leaders, the birth of Jesus Christ is the most potent symbol and message of hope in a world where uncertainty and fear have cast their shadows.

“I pray that every believer would not overlook the season’s purpose, which is Jesus’ own decision to come to earth and save us. Just before he began his morning sermon on Christmas Day, Karemera told The New Times, “May no believer miss this profound truth.”

The pastor was worried that the emphasis on festivities—from attire to get-togethers—might obscure the season’s spiritual importance.

“You hear people discussing their Christmas plans as you go around the city—many reservations, excursions, get-togethers, and change of clothes. These are acceptable, but they should not override the actual significance of Christmas, he stated.

Despite these positive aspects, the core of Christmas is acknowledging that God, the Creator of heaven and earth, took on human form to be among us. Our redemption is the ultimate objective; this entails nothing more than incarnation—God becoming human. It is an act of great humility, and our redemption is the ultimate objective,” he stated.

One of the main tenets of Christianity is the incarnation, which holds that God became human in the body of Christ. Stated differently, God was “incarnated” in human form. The core paradox upon which the belief rests is that Christ was simultaneously entirely God and fully human since God took on human form.

To make sure that their behaviors are consistent with their convictions, the preacher encouraged people to consider their faith.

“I worry about whether people genuinely comprehend and embody the significance of this season. “Let no one overlook the reason for the season, which is Jesus Christ himself,” Karemera stated, turning that terror into her message.

Karemera emphasized the significance of the incarnation, stating, “God taking on the human form is crucial because it demonstrates His desire to be with us.” He was able to save humanity because of this deed. A higher power could not possibly save humanity without descending to our level.
