Memphis Depay plans a friendly between Kotoko and Corinthians, a Brazilian team.

Memphis Depay, a Dutch international of Ghanaian heritage, has disclosed plans to arrange a friendly match between Asante Kotoko and his club, Corinthians.

Depay is spending the Christmas season in Ghana right now. He is anticipated to engage in a variety of endeavors, such as charitable work.

The former Barcelona and Manchester United player was at Kotoko’s training facility on Thursday morning as the club got ready for their match against the Bibiani Goldstars.

Asante Kotoko accounts posted a video of the former Barcelona and Manchester United player motivating players at the Adako Jachie.

Depay then revealed plans to set up a friendly between the Brazilian team and Kotoko.

“I appreciate what I see, and I will encourage you to continue.” Never give up. I admire every one of you. I am attempting to raise funds so that the team may face my team, the Corinthians, in a friendly match in Brazil. Let us hope we can get it off so you guys can show off your skills; that is in the planning,” he remarked.

On Friday, Asante will host the Bibiani Goldstars at Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 15 of the domestic top flight.

After 134 games, Asante Kotoko has 24 points, good for fifth place in the Ghana Premier League standings, while Goldstars has 27 points, good for second place.
