Mawuli Wayo

Mawuli Wayo responds after his double against the Accra Lions, saying, “It feels amazing.”

After his double in their 2-3 victory over the Accra Lions over the weekend, Hearts of Oak hero Mawuli Wayo expressed his happiness and said he hopes to continue putting on performances like this in the future.

Hussein Mohammed gave the Rainbow Club the lead, but goals from Nigerians Lucky Nwafor and Ezekiel Alladoh gave the Lions the lead again, 2-1.

But after coming off the bench, Mawuli Wayo scored twice in three minutes to enable Hearts of Oak to rally and win all three points.

Despite being at the bend, the adventurous attacker said he was extremely confident they would win the game and called the sensation “a nice one” in a post-game interview.

“I feel fantastic. I feel fantastic since it is been an honor to come in and work for my coach,” Wayo said.

“I was confident that we would return and surpass them. He said, “I knew we would take the three points no matter what.”

Despite not being a starter, Mawuli Wayo has scored four goals in 11 league games this season.
