Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum says, “We need to look into why fans are not coming to our home games.”

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has demanded an inquiry into the team’s dwindling home game attendance.
The team has struggled for the last three seasons with this persistent problem at Accra Sports Stadium and Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
After Kotoko’s thrilling 4-1 victory over Vision FC in the Ghana Premier League, which extended their winning streak to six games with five victories, Ogum voiced his concerns.
Even though Kotoko has been playing well and has advanced to the MTN FA Cup Round of 16, the team’s supporters have not been showing up in large numbers.
At his press conference after the game, Ogum said, “We anticipate them coming, especially since we have been winning games consecutively.” He added, “We need to increase our publicity to draw them in.”
The coach said, “We need to sit down and consider what we need to do to ensure we get them to the stadium. ” Today’s score against Vision FC was not promising.
Kotoko finishes third in the first round of the 2024–2025 Ghana Premier League, two points behind the leaders.
