Justice Blay, a midfielder for Asante Kotoko, has expressed happiness over the Ghana Premier League’s second round starting right away.

The Porcupine Warriors will play struggling Karela United in Kumasi on Sunday to start the second half of the season.

The club’s deputy captain claims that the league break had a significant impact on their performance the previous season.

To maintain the team’s energy and rhythm as they go for the league title, the second round should begin right after the first round.

“The break following the first round was one factor that had an impact on us last season. Our rhythm was impacted. Before the game against Karela United, he stated in the pre-match press conference, “I am glad we are not breaking this time around.”

After his previous contract expired in January, Justice Blay signed a one-year agreement to remain with the Reds.

“I chose to sign for a year. Why not accept a second contract offer from management after the season? “I am prepared to sign,” he declared.

After first joining the Porcupine Warriors on loan from Medeama SC, the versatile midfielder later signed a permanent contract.
