Rahman Alhassan of Hearts of Oak and Issah Amadou, the longtime and highly regarded Equipment Officer for Asante Kotoko, have been selected to the Ghana senior national team’s Black Stars backroom staff.

As the exceptional kit manager for the Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko for thirty years, Issah  Amadou has received recognition for his diligence, modesty, and commitment to his job.

Alongside Rahman Alhassan, a fellow Hearts of Oak native, he will serve as kit manager for the recently reorganized Black Stars backroom crew.

The two seasoned equipment officers, Abdul Rahman Alhassan and the well-respected Issah Amadou, who together have 53 years of expertise, will support the team’s logistical operations.

The recruitment of Amadou and Alhassan would be a significant component of the Black Stars’ preparation and logistics, as kit managers are crucial in making sure that all equipment and kits are prepared and appropriately maintained for both games and training sessions.

To revitalize the national team in preparation for forthcoming competitions, the Ghana Football Association has made significant adjustments to the Black Stars’ coaching staff.

These changes, which were made following a thorough technical evaluation, are intended to resolve recent irregularities on the global scene by giving the team more structure and experience.

To achieve optimal performance, the GFA has rearranged responsibilities and prioritized a combination of expertise and local knowledge.

This action demonstrates the association’s dedication to reviving the Black Stars, who finished last in a group that included Angola, Sudan, and Niger and were therefore unable to advance to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

These modifications demonstrate Ghana’s long-term goal of regaining control of African football and having an influence on the international scene.

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers commence in March, supporters and commentators will be closely observing the new technical team’s performance in these and other forthcoming international tournaments.
