As the Ghana Premier League season moves into its second half, Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Ogum has appealed for more fan support.

Ogum emphasized the need for greater fan participation in the next games despite the team’s strong start, ending the first round at the top of the table with 34 points from 10 victories, 4 losses, and 4 draws.

Despite having a six-game winning streak in all competitions, the Porcupine Warriors have had trouble drawing sizable audiences to their home games.

Following their 1-0 triumph over Karela United at Baba Yara Stadium, Ogum stressed the vital role that supporters will play in helping the club win the championship.

“The supporters have been incredible. When we succeed, they encourage us, and when we fail, they criticize us. However, we need them now more than ever as the season moves into its second half, Ogum stated.

“They should show up in large numbers, particularly at home, and provide social and emotional support to assist us finish the work.”

With the title race getting more intense, Kotoko is still leading the league by just one point above Bibiani GoldStars, who are in second place.
