Following the completion of his ideal move to Asante Kotoko, Kwasi Asante has expressed pleasure. After returning to Ghana, the former left-back for Simba FC and Haifa signed an 18-month contract with the Porcupine Warriors.

For me, joining Kotoko is like coming home. I have long respected this club due to its passion and history. I wanted to be a part of something exceptional here, so I did not hesitate when the chance arose,” he stated.

“I am prepared to do everything in my power to live up to the high expectations of the supporters. Football involves competition for spots, which I embrace since it improves us all. I am here to put in a lot of effort, support the group, and assist Kotoko in reaching its objectives for the season.

The team is hoping that Asante, who is a versatile player, will bring quality and experience as they contend for the league crown in 2024–2025.

Everyone is aware that since October of last year, we have only used one familiar left-back, Patrick Asiedu, so it was imperative to bolster that position. Prosper Narteh Ogum stated, “Kwasi adds talent and adaptability to our team.”

“He gives the squad depth by playing a variety of positions, and his extensive experience will surely help us at crucial times.”
