Former Hearts of Oak defender Philip Boampong criticizes the mindset of Ghanaians.

According to former Ghanaian defender Philip Boampong, some Ghanaians’ views may make it more difficult for them to reach Heaven.

In an interview with Global Sports Studios, Boampong criticized society’s avarice and dishonesty, especially among important people and journalists who frequently want payment for help.

Former Hearts of Oak player Boampong voiced his displeasure with Ghana’s pervasive materialistic culture, highlighting how it goes against Christian principles. No one would make it to heaven since Ghanaians despise the truth. He bemoaned, “No one does anything for free; there is no integrity.”

The former defender highlighted the stark difference between Ghanaian and foreign living levels. He asked, “Why are we suffering while one American state is larger than Ghana?”

Boampong’s remarks also addressed Ghana’s 2009 U-20 World Cup winners’ lack of appropriate acknowledgment and payment. In the past, he demanded that the GH¢10,000 per player investment made on their behalf be fully repaid.
