Michael Sefah, a defender for Port City FC of the Division One League, has officially joined Ghanaian football powerhouse Asante Kotoko.

To strengthen their backline for the current campaign, the Porcupine Warriors made another smart addition to their roster on Wednesday, January 22.

For Port City, Michael Sefah has been a crucial presence in defense, towering and imposing.

Kotoko’s technical staff took notice of his accomplishments in the second division, which led to quick talks between the two teams.

On social media, Port City announced the move and wished Sefah well in his new endeavor.

With the purchase of Sefah, Kotoko has now added six new players this transfer window. The Kumasi-based club has had a busy recruiting period, adding him to the ranks of Sampson Eduku, Kwame Opoku, Kwasi Asante, Daniel Adrian Adjetey, and Isaac Mintah.

Speaking about his transfer, Sefah thanked the club’s devoted followers for the chance to wear the red jersey and promised to live up to their high standards.

The 29-year-old has played in the Ghana Premier League for Liberty Professionals and Medeama SC, giving him experience in the top division.

Before going back to Ghana to sign with Port City, he previously played for the Indian team BSS Sporting.
