Asante Kotoko has announced the signing of defender Michael Sefah.

Defender Michael Sefah has officially joined Ghana Premier League powerhouse Asante Kotoko SC on a one-and-a-half-year contract from Division One League team Port City FC.
To strengthen their backline for the current season, the Porcupine Warriors made another smart addition to their roster on Wednesday, January 22, the day of the transfer deadline.
Sefah has been an important member of Port City’s defense and is renowned for his tall and intimidating presence.
Kotoko’s technical staff took notice of his outstanding second-tier achievements, and the two clubs quickly began negotiating.
On social media, Port City announced the transfer and wished Sefah well in his new endeavor.
With the purchase of Sefah, Kotoko has added six new players this transfer window. He joins Sampson Eduku, Kwame Opoku, Kwasi Asante, Daniel Adrian Adjetey, and Isaac Mintah, indicating that the Kumasi-based club is busy recruiting.
Speaking about his transfer, Michael Sefah thanked Kotoko for the chance to don the red jersey and promised to live up to the high standards set by the team’s devoted fans.
The 29-year-old defender has extensive top-tier experience, having played in the Ghana Premier League for Liberty Professionals and Medeama SC.
Before returning to Ghana to sign with Port City, he played for the Indian team BSS Sporting.
When Sefah joins Kotoko, it should improve their defensive options by giving them strength and solidity at the back.
