Asante Kotoko extends their advantage over Hearts of Oak by four points thanks to Justice Blay.

In the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon, Asante Kotoko defeated Karela United by a slim margin of 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
After match week 18, the Porcupine Warriors had a commanding lead over Accra Hearts of Oak thanks to a crucial penalty kick from captain Justice Blay.
Despite having 57% of the possession in the first half, Kotoko found it difficult to penetrate Karela United’s strong defense.
The first half was goalless because only two of the six-goal attempts were on goal.
After Baba Yahaya was fouled in the box in the 69th minute, Justice Blay smoothly converted the penalty.
Karela United was unable to rally, and Kotoko won the game with all three points. The loss puts Karela United at the bottom of the league table with just 14 points after 18 games, as they only mustered one shot on goal during the match.
The Porcupine Warriors have extended their league-winning streak to seven games, demonstrating their outstanding play.
With 34 points after this pivotal victory, they are now one point ahead of the Bibiani Gold Stars in second position and five points ahead of their bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in fifth place in the Ghana Premier League standings.
As the battle intensifies, Kotoko is gaining momentum and is still committed to winning the league this season.
With their recent outstanding results in the League, the Porcupine Warriors are almost ready to realize their ambition.
