Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum was perplexed by low fan attendance despite excellent results.

Despite the team’s outstanding results in the 2024–2025 Ghana Premier League season, Asante Kotoko’s head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed astonishment at the low turnout for the team’s games.
Kotoko finished the league’s first round in first place with 34 points from 10 victories, 4 losses, and 4 draws after defeating Karela United 1-0 at Baba Yara Stadium.
Despite having a six-match winning streak in all competitions, the squad has had trouble drawing spectators to their games.
“I think it is not pleasant, it does not make us feel pleased,” said Dr. Ogum, expressly perplexed by the circumstances. We are getting them results and playing some excellent football, but they are not showing up.
“I am unable to determine the reasons behind their nonattendance. With more than 10 million supporters, Kotoko is a large club. They come in large numbers to support us on match days, so I am urging them to attempt it as well.”
With 34 points, Asante Kotoko leads the Ghana Premier League standings by one point over Bibiani GoldStars, who are in second place.
