“Very huge team” with “excellent players” is how Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has described the Bibiani Goldstars.
Ogum’s remarks precede the much-anticipated matchday 15 match between Kotoko and Goldstars on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Baba Yara Stadium.
“The Goldstars are a very large squad with excellent players and one of the most renowned coaches in Frimpong Manso,” Ogum stated.
Ogum showed confidence in his team’s ability to compete against Bibiani Goldstars, even though he acknowledged the difficulty of the impending match.
A “tactical game with a lot of aggression” is what he anticipated, but he reassured that his team was ready.
In the Ghana Premier League rankings, the game features second-place Goldstars (27 points) against fifth-place Kotoko (24 points).
The Porcupine Warriors, who have won their last three games, are intent on putting on another impressive showing.
As the past champions vie for positions higher up the table, including the top slot, Ogum is keen to change the course of history. In 2022, the former WAFA manager led Kotoko to their final Ghana Premier League victory.
